A visit to the Prison Gate is an exciting outing for the whole family. Children can discover a lot in the new exhibition in the courthouse.
Meet the four main characters of the Prison Gate: the prisoner, the executioner, the judge and your special host, the jailer. They tell you about how things went in the Prison Gate.
What happens to the maid who is suspected of poisoning her mistress?
Ask for the special audio tour for children (only in Dutch). There is also a lot to discover in the exhibition: how heavy is a block on your leg? And how do thumbscrews work? At the end of the visit, there is a game where they take on the role of a judge.
The Prison Gate is less suitable for young children (under 8 years old).
